David Hamill

A random collection of tips about running usability tests

Synopsis

David has been running usability tests for about 10 years now and is still learning new ways to improve. He has collected a big bundle of tips on how to get the most out of facilitated usability testing without wasting your effort and he’s going to try and get through as many of them as he can in the time allotted. He has lots.

About David

David Hamill is a nosey bastard (his words). He loves nothing more than watching people and finding out why they do things the way they do. Imagine his delight back in 2003 when he discovered you could do it as a proper job. After leaving the bank he was working for at the time of this discovery he spent 6 years working in UX consultancy. In 2013 he joined Skyscanner where he is responsible for helping the business understand the needs and behaviour of its users. He used to write a blog at www.goodusability.co.uk until he had a baby and now wonders what happened to all the spare time he used to have. He still however finds time to get out on his bike whenever he can.
